Luckily, you can assign dwarves to make your job easier. There’s a lot to keep track of while you’re trying to keep your fortress functioning. In a certain way, it's like we are all playing the game together. Assign a Manager, Bookkeeper, and Broker. sure its not ultra modern graphics or ui but you get used to it pretty fast and so far it seems. Could never get into the original DF but always wanted to. But then again, I havent gotten that far in the game. And there's something to be said about the community coming together and discovering and recording all this information. The UI is somewhat clunky is my only complaint thus far. There's something about learning and discovering on your own. Some would say that is just bad game design, and while I agree to some extent, there is something to these games. This game isn't hard, but it is one of those games with non-existent internal documentation, where a big portion of your playthrough is spent reading the wiki. Once you know the ropes, you can carry on from thtre, or start a new game and build on your own. I would suggest you start a game and just follow the guide.
